Denver Newspaper Going Under
Denver paper latest victim of declining readership, ad revenue
Story Highlights
- “It’s in a free fall and nobody knows where the bottom is,” media critic says

(CNN) — After nearly 150 years in business, the Rocky Mountain News published its final edition Friday, the victim of a bad economy and the Internet generation.
My comments: This is a case of failure to adapt to the changing market. If people are going on line to read their news, then offer the customer more on line news. Use the ad money to build a better website and include the advertising. Increase the readership with the editorial staff, cartoonists and bloggers. This market is tough, but adaptation is the key to staying in the game.
